To maximize the benefit of our joint Yoga experience please use the following guidance:

  • Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the class. Those who are late for the class by more than 5 to 10 minutes will not be allowed to participate in the class.
  • Please do not attend a class if you have a fever and/or an infection
  • Please make sure to inform the instructor of your special conditions (head ache, periods, etc.) before the class.
  • Please do not eat anything for 1 to 3 hours before the class and for 30 to 40 minutes after the class. Your stomach, bladder and bowels should be empty during practice. You are not allowed to drink during the class. You can, however, drink 30 minutes before and right after the class.
  • Ideal clothes to wear to a class are a cotton t-shirt, yogic shorts and bare feet. In practice, any sportswear that you are comfortable in will work. If you are prone to colds, please bring a sweater and a clean pair of socks for Savasana (relaxation pose).
  • We practice barefoot. If necessary, you can bring a towel and wash your feet before the class.
  • Please turn off your mobile telephones for the duration of the class. Do not leave any of your valuables unattended.
  • If you are still a smoker, it is less harmful to have a cigarette before the class than after. Please restrain from smoking for at least 1 hour after the class.
  • If you exercise or take dance, aerobics or any other classes, please separate those activities and yoga practice in time, e.g., one activity in the morning and the other in the evening. If you are currently receiving massage or chiropractice therapy, you should not be practicing yoga after such sessions.
  • Please remember to carefully arrange all the props used during the class back in their original places at the end of the class to allow for their use by the students of the next class.
  • The courses of asanas and pranayama practices are developed to fit your level, but only you are truly aware of your own limits, so please feel free to share your concerns, if any, with the instructor.
